Time to Step it up

Hello Gooners, yes I am back and back at a time when things are looking good but at the same time can’t get that bitter feeling out of my mouth. So let’s start on that note then, people are coming-up with some of the most ridicules excuses for Ryan Shawcrossand how he’s a fucking nice chap and I know this has already been said too many times already but how many of you actually think that if the an English superstar was on the other-end of this challenge. Would the media react the same way? No not a bit. I can come up with plenty of examples but again there are plenty of them out there already. What I want to say is that enough is enough and this really is time for the FA to start doing something about it. More clubs should raise their voice and make a point out of it otherwise we’ll soon lose a great player fore-ever.

Now let’s leave it at that and go to the other feeling that has been running around the stomach lately. We are only three points from the top and it is getting very exciting. Let us look at what we have done so far this season, we have already lost six times this season and that is two times more than we did in 2008 and still came third so this gives an example of how competitive the league is this season. Another this that I wish to point out is that we are two behind Unites and three behind Chavs but if we look at it we have lost six points to both of them so that means we have done better against the rest of the league than both the teams above us and we will only be playing the rest of the league for the rest of the season so you can probably figure-out what I want to say.

We’ll be getting detailed team news on Friday but Gallas still looks short. Word has it thatDiaby will be fit and so should Andre. So the team news is not that bad. We’ll be missing Song and that’s a big miss but we should be able to manage without him against Burnley. We lost Eduardo on the 21st of Feb 2008 and lost the plot, now we have lost Aaron on the 27th of Feb and it is time to show what we are made of. The team is almost the same as it was two years ago and mush more experienced. We’vebeen talking about experience for a long time and we’ve been talking about trophies for even longer, the time is now to step it up and bring the big silver cup home.

I need an excuse to drink my beer from a bigger cup come the end of the season.

Gooners: Break a Leg..

The international break used to be very very dull and meaningless to me but something has changed dramatically over the last two Interlulls (Int Break) as we like to call it. So much so that my first post as an Arsenal fan ever is on this topic. Now the Interlull is not at all dull and boring to be honest this is the most heart-pumping time to be a Gooner. Let alone the meaningless games, I am scared about the training sessions at this moment. Last night we lost Gibbs and it looks like it’s gonna be a while for him too. OK we have 12 players injured now and I admit every team gets injuries and yes we should be able to deal with injuries being such a big club but there must be an end to all this madness.

Fat boy Sepp Blatter is busy promoting football in Africa (Where there’s no money and frankly I don’t care even if they do because I will never ever be there) and our Beloved Cunt-Face “Platini” is busy recruiting more referees to a football match and are not at all bothered about the fixtures and schedules of the Fu*king internationals. Most of our players are one the best paid players in the world and we can’t afford to have them gone for months at a time when we pay biblical amount of money for their services even if they are injured.

The ans to this can be very simple, International teams will pay for a players wages as long as he is out injured if a player gets injured serving the national team and the transfer window could be made open for clubs facing long term injuries. Unnecessary matches should be dropped from the int calendar and/OR the club should have the right to hold on to their player and make them unavailable of international matches.

In other news Eduardo has signed a new long term contract with Arsenal. Sylvestre has been tipped to cover for the LB position (We just gotta hold our breath on that). AW has been talking about us scoring so many goals this season and said “Positive is the key to our scoring”. OK then positive thinking it is. Man City are talking about how they want to have the arsenal method to success and giving their thoughts any thought what so ever is like pissing in the wind.

This is it for the first issue, if you like it let me know.
